An Estimate is a description of a sale that the company proposes to make to a CUSTOMER .

Remarks

An Estimate is a description of a sale that the company proposes to make to a Customer. An Estimate uses nearly the same fields as an Invoice. However, the transaction is non-posting; it will not affect any of the company's account balances unless the QuickBooks user converts it into an Invoice.

Required Fields (Add): CustomerName or CustomerId, LineItems

Supported Methods: Add, Get (Id), Cancel, Delete Example

The total Amount of an Estimate is the total of its item lines.

Item Lines: Item lines are used to track the goods or services offered for sale.

The component supports a variety of other operations as well. The component's Get,and Delete methods may be used to retrieve, and delete Estimates, respectively. The ObjSearch Component may be used to search for Estimates in the QuickBooks database.
