DirectMarketingType Property

Specifies the type of direct marketing transaction to reverse.

Syntax

 fdmsreversal.getDirectMarketingType([callback])
 fdmsreversal.setDirectMarketingType( directMarketingType, [callback])

Possible Values

  0 (fdmECommerce), 
  1 (fdmMOTO), 
  2 (fdmRecurring), 
  3 (fdmInstallment)

Default Value

Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for the getDirectMarketingType([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err, data){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'data' is the value returned by the method.

The callback for the setDirectMarketingType([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Remarks

The following types of direct marketing transactions are reversable by this class:


fdmECommerce (0)	This is an E-Commerce transaction, and consists of goods or services sold online over the Internet.
fdmMOTO (1)	This is a Mail Order or Telephone Order transaction, and consists of goods sold through the mail or over the phone.
fdmRecurring (2)	This is a recurring payment, such as a magazine subscription or health club membership.
fdmInstallment (3)	This is an installment payment. For example, "Three easy payments of $19.95".
