AbortConnection Method

Used to terminate a connection to the SAP system.

Syntax

idocreader.abortConnection(errorMessage, [callback])

Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for this method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Remarks

This method is used to gracefully terminate connection with the SAP system. If the ErrorMessage contains a value the class will raise an error on the SAP system immediately prior to disconnecting.

An error message cannot be sent if the SAP server is not in a state where it expects to receive some RFC data.

Do not use this method to terminate a connection unless there is an error condition. For normal disconnects use the CloseConnection method instead.
