SapAttributePasswordState Property

The state of the password.

Syntax

 sapreadtable.getSapAttributePasswordState([callback])

Possible Values

  0 (pwStateUnknown), 
  1 (pwStateOK), 
  2 (pwStateExpired), 
  3 (pwStateCantBeChanged)

0


Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for the getSapAttributePasswordState([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err, data){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'data' is the value returned by the method.

The callback for the setSapAttributePasswordState([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Remarks

The state of the password. The possible states include:

pwStateUnknown (0) The state of the password is unknown. The RFC Server or SAP system may be too old to support this functionality.
pwStateOK (1) Password okay.
pwStateExpired (2) Password is expired and must be changed.
pwStateCantBeChanged (3) Password cannot be changed (on this SAP system the password can only be changed once a day).
