AddContentType Method

Adds a new content type to the site.

Object Oriented Interface

public function doAddContentType($contenttype, $parentcontenttypeid);

Procedural Interface

insp_spsite_do_addcontenttype($res, $contenttype, $parentcontenttypeid);

Remarks

The site is specified by URL.

Before adding a new content type, specify the columns for the new content type in the Columns collection.

This method will return the ContentTypeId that SharePoint gives the new content type. The ContentTypeId may be used for further processing of this content type.
