Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for the getNAFTABlanketPeriod([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err, data){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'data' is the value returned by the method.

The callback for the setNAFTABlanketPeriod([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.message

Remarks

This is applicable only to international shipments that contain non-documents. It is required to be provided in the request only if NAFTA CO international form is requested (i.e., one of the FormTypes is set to NAFTA).

This contains the begin date and the end date of the blanket period. The begin date is the date upon which the Certificate becomes applicable to the good covered by the blanket Certificate (it may be prior to the date of signing this Certificate). The end date is the date upon which the blanket period expires.

This is applicable and required to be provided in the request only if the NAFTA Certificate covers multiple shipments of identical goods as described in the ShipmentDescription that are imported into a NAFTA country for a specified period of up to one year (the blanket period). The importation of a good for which preferential treatment is claimed based on this certificate must occur between beginning and ending dates.
