GetInfo Method

Identifies and describes all of the accounts accessible by the signed-on user.

Syntax

account.getInfo([callback])

Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for this method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Remarks

This function generates the Signon and Account Information request page, submits it to the financial institution via secure HTTPS Post, receives and parses the server's response. Besides the information that is required for Signon, the LastUpdate should be provided as well. For each account, there is one AccAggregate returned.

The following read-only properties are populated as a result of parsing account information response:

• LastUpdate
• Accounts

If the LastUpdate is set to a date later than the time when the actual update occurred, the request will still be considered successful, but no account information will be returned. The server response will contain a message (such as: "Client is up-to-date", etc.), which will be stored in ServerMessage config setting.
