ShareResource Method
Shares a resource.
Syntax
dropbox.shareResource([callback])
Callback
The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).
The callback for this method is defined as:
function(err, data){ }
'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.
'data' is the value returned by the method.
'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:
err.code err.message
Remarks
This method shares the file or folder specified by ResourcePath. Simply calling this method will share the specified resource. The URL to the shared resource is returned by this method.
If the resource is already shared the same link will be returned.
Example:
//Share the resource. The returned URL can be used to access the shared resource dropbox.ResourcePath = "/My Folder" string URL = dropbox.ShareResource(); //Later to get the URL again we can check the resource to see if it's shared dropbox.ListSharedResources(folder + "/test.zip"); URL = dropbox.SharedResources[0].Link; //When we no longer want to share the resource we can unshare it. dropbox.UnshareResource(URL);
