ResourceType Property

Indicates whether the current entry is a folder or a file.

Syntax

 dropbox.getResourceType([callback])
 dropbox.setResourceType( resourceType, [callback])

Possible Values

  0 (rtFile), 
  1 (rtFolder)

Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for the getResourceType([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err, data){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'data' is the value returned by the method.

The callback for the setResourceType([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Remarks

This property indicates whether the current entry specified by ResourceIndex is a folder or a file.

Possible values are:

0 (rtFile) A file.
1 (rtFolder) A folder.

Google treats files and folders in the same way. Folders are included when listing files with ListResources. The ResourceType property can be used to determine if a file is a folder or a file. To list, delete, or update a folder use the ListResources, DeleteResource, and UpdateResource methods.

This property is not available at design time.
