ResponseLength Property

Defines the length of the response.

Syntax

 ocra.getResponseLength([callback])
 ocra.setResponseLength( responseLength, [callback])

Default Value

6

Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for the getResponseLength([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err, data){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'data' is the value returned by the method.

The callback for the setResponseLength([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Remarks

This property specifies the desired response length. Valid values are 4-10, and 0. Values 4-10 will result in a numeric value of that length. The value 0 indicates no truncation and the raw HMAC value is returned in the response

This may be set before calling CreateChallenge, when the OCRASuite is generated.

When OCRASuite is assigned this value is updated to reflect the options specified in the OCRASuite. When calling CalculateResponse the calculated Response will be a value with this length.

The default value is 6.
