BTDaemon Configuration

The control accepts one or more of the following configuration settings. Configuration settings are similar in functionality to properties, but they are rarely used. In order to avoid "polluting" the property namespace of the control, access to these internal properties is provided through the Config method.

BTDaemon Configuration Settings

BTAuthenticate:   Whether authentication is required.

This option specifies whether authentication is required for the connection. This must be set before a connection is attempted (or before the accepting connections in the case of BTDaemon). When set to True the cause the system to actively initiate authentication when the connection is attempted if the devices were not already authenticated. The system will display the user interface for passkey exchange outside the context of the application. The connection will fail if the devices are not successfully authenticated.

The default value is False.

BTDefaultMTU:   The default RFCOMM MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit).

This setting specifies the default RFCOMM MTU for new connections. This must be set before connecting to take effect. The default value is 0, meaning the system defaults will be used. This is an advanced setting and should not normally be set.

BTEncrypt:   Forces an encrypted connection if set to True.

This setting specifies whether the connection must be encrypted. If set to True the system will encrypt connections. The default value is False.

BTMTUMax:   The maximum RFCOMM MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit).

This setting specifies the maximum RFCOMM MTU for new connections. This must be set before connecting to take effect. The default value is 0, meaning the system defaults will be used. This is an advanced setting and should not normally be set.

BTMTUMin:   The minimum RFCOMM MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit).

This setting specifies the minimum RFCOMM MTU for new connections. This must be set before connecting to take effect. The default value is 0, meaning the system defaults will be used. This is an advanced setting and should not normally be set.

Base Configuration Settings

UseInternalSecurityAPI:   Tells the control whether or not to use the system security libraries or an internal implementation.

By default the control will use the system security libraries to perform cryptographic functions. Setting this to True tells the control to use the internal implementation instead of using the system's security API.
