service_name Property

A name for a service. When set, it initiates a search for the corresponding port number and protocol.

Syntax

def get_service_name() -> str: ...
def set_service_name(value: str) -> None: ...

service_name = property(get_service_name, set_service_name)

Remarks

This property contains the name of the specified service located at service_port.

If this property is set to a service name, a search is initiated for the corresponding service_port and other information related to the service (if any).

The on_request_complete event is fired when the search is complete. request_id identifies the pending request.

NOTE: This functionality is only available in Windows.
