DestroyVersion Method

Destroys a secret version's data.

Syntax

ANSI (Cross Platform)
int DestroyVersion(const char* lpszSecretName, const char* lpszVersionId);

Unicode (Windows)
INT DestroyVersion(LPCWSTR lpszSecretName, LPCWSTR lpszVersionId);
- (void)destroyVersion:(NSString*)secretName :(NSString*)versionId;
#define MID_GOOGLESECRETS_DESTROYVERSION 8

CLOUDKEYS_EXTERNAL int CLOUDKEYS_CALL CloudKeys_GoogleSecrets_Do(void *lpObj, int methid, int cparam, void *param[], int cbparam[], int64 *lpllVal);

Remarks

This method permanently destroys the secret data held by the secret version specified by SecretName and VersionId. The secret version itself remains in existence, but its SecretState changes to DESTROYED and attempting to call GetSecret on it will result in an error.

To make a secret version's data temporarily inaccessible, use the SetVersionEnabled method instead.

Error Handling (C++)

This method returns a result code; 0 indicates success, while a non-zero error code indicates that this method encountered an error during its execution. If an error occurs, the GetLastError() method can be called to retrieve the associated error message. (Note: This method's result code can also be obtained by calling the GetLastErrorCode() method after it returns.)
