MessageInfo Event

Fired with information for the message(s) retrieved by the server.

Syntax

gmail.on('MessageInfo', [callback])

Callback

The 'callback' is called when the 'MessageInfo' event is emited.

function(e){ }

The argument 'e' has the following properties:

e.messageId
e.subject
e.messageDate
e.from
e.flags
e.size
e.GMailMessageId
e.GMailMessageThreadId
e.GMailMessageLabels

Remarks

The MessageInfo event is fired when messages are searched, listed, or message information is received.

Id is the Id of the message.

Subject is the message subject.

MessageDate is the date of the message.

From is the email address of the sender.

Flags is a list of flags associated with this message.

Size is the size of the message.

GMailMessageId is the Google assigned Id of the message.

GMailMessageThreadId is the Google assigned thread Id of the message. It may be used to find other messages in the same conversation.

GMailMessageLabels is a space separated list of labels associated with the message.

More information may be received from the respective properties, such as: MessageContentType, MessageContentEncoding, MessageRecipients, MessageDeliveryTime, MessageFlags, MessageHeaders, MessageInReplyTo, MessageNetId, MessageReplyTo, MessageSender, MessageSize, MessageSubject, MessageText, etc.
