request Method

Requests an OCSP response.

Syntax

def request() -> bool: ...

Remarks

Use this method to request an OCSP response for a certificate. Assign the certificate to certificate, and its CA certificate (required) to ca_certificate property.

The method returns true if the CA provides OCSP service for this certificate, and false otherwise. If OCSP service is provided, and the request succeeds, the downloaded OCSP response will be available in ocsp_response. If OCSP service is provided, but the request fails (e.g. due to a network issue), an exception will be thrown.
