Contains the transaction authorization code from the card issuer.

Syntax

 globaldebit.getResponseApprovalCode([callback])

Default Value

""

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for the getResponseApprovalCode([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err, data){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'data' is the value returned by the method.

The callback for the setResponseApprovalCode([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Remarks

Contains the transaction authorization code from the card issuer.

For approved transaction responses (ResponseCode 0 or 200) the Global Transport Gateway sends a 6-character approval code in the ResponseApprovalCode property and a human-readable approval message in the ResponseMessage property. In the case of a decline, the ResponseApprovalCode will contain an error message. Your application should display the ResponseApprovalCode as part of the approval message for an approved transaction. For declined responses, the ResponseHostCode property will contain an additional code that provides detail on the reason for the decline.

This property is read-only.
