SearchResultApprovalCode Property

Contains the transaction authorization code from the card issuer.

Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for the getSearchResultApprovalCode([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err, data){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'data' is the value returned by the method.

The callback for the setSearchResultApprovalCode([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Contains the transaction authorization code from the card issuer.

For approved transaction responses (SearchResultCode 0 or 200) the Global Transport Gateway sends a 6-character approval code in the SearchResultApprovalCode property and a human-readable approval message in the SearchResultMessage property. In the case of a decline, the SearchResultApprovalCode will contain an error message. Your application should display the SearchResultApprovalCode as part of the approval message for an approved transaction. For declined responses, the SearchResultHostCode property will contain an additional code that provides detail on the reason for the decline.

The size of the array is controlled by the SearchResultCount property.

This property is read-only and not available at design time.
