OutputFilename Property

The path of a file in which to store received HL7 data.

Syntax

 mllpserver.getOutputFilename(index, [callback])
 mllpserver.setOutputFilename(index,  outputFilename, [callback])

Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for the getOutputFilename([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err, data){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'data' is the value returned by the method.

The callback for the setOutputFilename([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

The path of a file in which to store received HL7 data.

This property is used to specify a path to a file in which to store HL7 data received from the MLLP client.

Note that the class will store output data in one of the following places, choosing the first one that is valid:

A file whose path has been set to the connection's OutputFilename property.
The connection's OutputData property.

The size of the array is controlled by the ConnectionCount property.

This property is not available at design time.
