CargoTranslator Class

Properties   Methods   Events   Config Settings   Errors

The CargoTranslator class is optimized for Cargo-IMP translation, providing a simple way to convert Cargo-IMP documents to and from XML or JSON.

Syntax

ipworkseditranslator.cargotranslator()

Remarks

The CargoTranslator class provides a simple way to convert Cargo-IMP to XML or JSON and vice versa.

Getting Started

The class will convert a document from the format specified by InputFormat to the format specified by OutputFormat. In practice this allows for converting to XML or JSON from Cargo-IMP and vice versa.

Before translating from Cargo-IMP to XML or JSON it is recommended to load a schema using the LoadSchema method. This ensures additional information can be included in the XML or JSON document. If a schema is specified the XML or JSON will include types and descriptions as element attributes which are useful for interpreting the data.

After calling Translate the resulting output will contain the Cargo-IMP, XML or JSON data as defined by OutputFormat.

Input and Output Properties

The class will determine the source and destination of the input and output based on which properties are set.

The order in which the input properties are checked is as follows:

When a valid source is found the search stops. The order in which the output properties are checked is as follows:
  • OutputFile
  • OutputData: The output data is written to this property if no other destination is specified.

Schemas are written in JSON format: { "name": "FSU", "desc": "FSU MESSAGE", "children": { "1": { "desc": "Standard Message Identification", "children": { "1.1": { "desc": "Standard Message Identifier", "value": "FSU" }, "1.2": { "value": "/" }, "1.3": { "desc": "Message Type Version Number", "format": "n[...3]" }, "1.4": { "value": "\r\n" } } }, "2": { ... For example schemas and questions, please contact support@nsoftware.com.

This property is not available at design time.

CargoTranslator.config Method

Sets or retrieves a configuration setting.

Syntax

async cargotranslator.config(configurationString : string): Promise<string>

Remarks

Config is a generic method available in every class. It is used to set and retrieve configuration settings for the class.

These settings are similar in functionality to properties, but they are rarely used. In order to avoid "polluting" the property namespace of the class, access to these internal properties is provided through the Config method.

To set a configuration setting named PROPERTY, you must call Config("PROPERTY=VALUE"), where VALUE is the value of the setting expressed as a string. For boolean values, use the strings "True", "False", "0", "1", "Yes", or "No" (case does not matter).

To read (query) the value of a configuration setting, you must call Config("PROPERTY"). The value will be returned as a string.

CargoTranslator.loadSchema Method

Loads a schema file describing a Message type.

Syntax

async cargotranslator.loadSchema(fileName : string): Promise<void>

Remarks

This method parses the File and loads it into an internal schema list.

If the schema file does not exist or cannot be parsed as an Cargo-IMP schema, the class .

Schemas are written in JSON format: { "name": "FSU", "desc": "FSU MESSAGE", "children": { "1": { "desc": "Standard Message Identification", "children": { "1.1": { "desc": "Standard Message Identifier", "value": "FSU" }, "1.2": { "value": "/" }, "1.3": { "desc": "Message Type Version Number", "format": "n[...3]" }, "1.4": { "value": "\r\n" } } }, "2": { ... CargoTranslator.reset Method

Resets the class.

Syntax

async cargotranslator.reset(): Promise<void>

Remarks

When called, the class initializes itself to its default state.

CargoTranslator.translate Method

Translates the specified data.

Syntax

async cargotranslator.translate(): Promise<void>

Remarks

This method translates the specified data.

For example schemas and questions, please contact support@nsoftware.com.

cargotranslator.on('Error', listener: (e: {readonly errorCode: number, readonly description: string}) => void )

Remarks

The Error event is fired in case of exceptional conditions during message processing. Normally the class .

ErrorCode contains an error code and Description contains a textual description of the error. For a list of valid error codes and their descriptions, please refer to the Error Codes section.

CargoTranslator.ResolveSchema Event

Fires whenever a new Cargo-Imp message is encountered and no schema is found for it.

Syntax

cargotranslator.on('ResolveSchema', listener: (e: {readonly messageIdentifier: string, readonly version: string}) => void )

Remarks

The ResolveSchema event will fire when a the class encounters a new Cargo-IMP message, but it finds no schema corresponding to it already loaded.

MessageIdentifier contains the message type, such as "FWB" or "FSU".

Version contains the version of the schema used by the message.

When processing this event, the caller can use LoadSchema() to load a new schema into the class that can be used to parse the transaction.

LicenseInfo:   Information about the current license.

When queried, this setting will return a string containing information about the license this instance of a class is using. It will return the following information:

  • Product: The product the license is for.
  • Product Key: The key the license was generated from.
  • License Source: Where the license was found (e.g., RuntimeLicense, License File).
  • License Type: The type of license installed (e.g., Royalty Free, Single Server).
  • Last Valid Build: The last valid build number for which the license will work.
MaskSensitive:   Whether sensitive data is masked in log messages.

In certain circumstances it may be beneficial to mask sensitive data, like passwords, in log messages. Set this to true to mask sensitive data. The default is true.

This setting only works on these classes: AS3Receiver, AS3Sender, Atom, Client(3DS), FTP, FTPServer, IMAP, OFTPClient, SSHClient, SCP, Server(3DS), Sexec, SFTP, SFTPServer, SSHServer, TCPClient, TCPServer.

UseInternalSecurityAPI:   Tells the class whether or not to use the system security libraries or an internal implementation.

When set to false, the class will use the system security libraries by default to perform cryptographic functions where applicable.

Setting this setting to true tells the class to use the internal implementation instead of using the system security libraries.

This setting is set to false by default on all platforms.
