Introduction
Welcome to IPWorks, a comprehensive developer suite of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)-enabled components that simplifies the process of adding secure internet connectivity to any application, on any platform. The 40-plus enterprise-class components facilitate tasks, such as ensuring security, sending e-mails, transferring files, managing networks, browsing the web, consuming web services, and more.
Atom | The Atom Component is used to retrieve, parse, and update Atom content. |
CalDAV | The CalDAV Component implements an easy-to-use interface to the Calendaring Extensions to the Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning protocol (WebDAV). In this manner the CalDAV protocol specifies a standard way of accessing, managing, and sharing calendaring and scheduling information based on the iCalendar format. |
CertMgr | The CertMgr component is used to create, read, and manage certificates. |
DNS | The DNS component is used to query DNS for record information. |
FileMailer | The FileMailer Component is used to send emails with file attachments. |
FTP | The FTP Component can be used to transfer files to and from FTP servers using the FTP protocol. |
HTMLMailer | The HTMLMailer Component is used to send HTML emails, including embedded images. |
HTTP | The HTTP Component can be used to retrieve documents from the World Wide Web. |
ICMP | The ICMP component is used to facilitate ICMP communications. It can act both as a client and a server and can communicate with any number of hosts simultaneously. It also can generate and receive broadcast packets. |
IMAP | The IMAP Component is used to communicate with IMAP servers using the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP). |
IPInfo | The IPInfo component is used to resolve host names to host addresses and vice versa using an asynchronous DNS. The component provides access to other Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/IP database functions as well. |
IPMonitor | The IPMonitor component is used to listen to network traffic. |
JSON | The JSON component can be used to parse and write JSON documents. |
LDAP | The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Component is used to search, manage, and maintain internet directory servers. |
MCast | The MCast component is used to multicast User Datagram Protocol (UDP) datagrams to multicast-capable hosts in multicast-capable subnets. It can act both as a client and a server and can communicate with any number of hosts simultaneously, as well as generate and receive broadcast packets. |
MIME | The MIME component allows for the simple encoding and decoding of MIME structures, such as message attachments and file uploads. |
MX | The MX component enables querying of mail exchange (MX) records from a Domain Name Server (DNS). Thus, it will find out the names of the mail servers accepting email for a given email address or domain. |
NetClock | The NetClock component provides the current time in Greenwich Mean Time from an Internet Time Server. |
NetCode | The NetCode component can be used to encode or decode files or strings using a variety of popular encoding formats, such as Base64, UUencode, and URL. UUEncode , MIME's Base64 Quoted-Printable , and URL encoding formats, as well as secure hash functions such as MD5 and SHA1, are currently supported. |
NetDial | The NetDial component can be used to call the Remote Access System (RAS) to initiate or break connections to remote hosts, list connections, and phonebook entries. |
NNTP | The NNTP Component is used to read, search, and post articles on Usenet news servers. |
OAuth | The OAuth component is used to authorize a client and provide an authorization string used in future requests. |
OData | The OData component implements the Open Data Protocol (OData). It can be used to query, parse, and update or modify data contained within an OData service. |
Ping | The PING component encapsulates Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) ECHO functionality, which is used to check whether there is a communications link between two computers. |
POP | The POP Component is used to easily retrieve electronic mail from internet post office servers (POP). |
RCP | The RCP component implements the popular UNIX Remote Copy Protocol, used to transfer files between systems. |
REST | The REST Component can be used to retrieve XML documents from the World Wide Web. |
Rexec | The remote exec (rexec) component is used to execute commands on a remote UNIX machine using the rexec mechanism. |
Rshell | The remote shell (rshell) component is used to execute commands on a remote Unix machine using the rshell mechanism. |
RSS | The RSS Component is used to retrieve, parse, edit, and write RSS-syndicated content. |
S3 | The S3 component provides an easy-to-use interface for Amazon S3 and other S3-compatible services. |
SMPP | The Smpp Component implements a lightweight message transmission interface using the Short Message Peer-to-Peer protocol, most known for its use in cellular text messaging. |
SMTP | The SMTP Component is used to send Internet mail using the SMTP protocol (the Internet mail standard). |
SNPP | The SNPP Component is used to send pages through the internet using the SNPP protocol. |
SOAP | The SOAP Component is a generic SOAP client supporting SOAP 1.1 that is used to communicate with SOAP servers. |
SysLog | The Syslog component is used to send and receive network system log packets. |
TCPClient | The TCPClient Component is a generic Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) stream client based on an asynchronous, event-driven architecture. |
TCPServer | The TCPServer Component is a generic Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) server component based on an asynchronous, event-driven architecture. It is designed to balance the load between connections for a fast, powerful server. |
Telnet | The Telnet Component is used to communicate with servers implementing the TELNET protocol. |
TFTPClient | The TFTPClient component is used to exchange files with TFTP servers via the TFTP protocol defined in RFC 783. |
TFTPServer | The TFTPServer Component is used to create a TFTP Server. |
TraceRoute | The TraceRoute component allows you to trace the path IP packets take on the Internet. |
UDP | The UDP component is used to facilitate UDP (datagram) communications. It can act both as a client and a server and communicate with any number of hosts simultaneously, as well as generate and receive broadcast packets. |
WebDAV | The WebDAV Component implements an easy-to-use interface to the Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning protocol (WebDAV). |
WebForm | The WebForm Component is used to POST data to interactive web pages or scripts (CGI, ASP, etc.), similar to what HTML forms do. |
WebUpload | The WebUpload Component is used to upload files to RFC1867-compliant web servers. |
Whois | The Whois component allows you to query a WHOIS Server for Domain registration information. |
