Introduction
Welcome to IPWorks SSL, a secure suite of components where SSL/TLS is the only option. IPWorks SSL is a subset of our flagship IPWorks toolkit intended for environments where security must be enforced. IPWorks SSL components are drop-in replacements for their IPWorks counterpart, and will throw an error if plaintext communication is attempted. The enterprise-class components facilitate tasks, such as ensuring security, sending e-mails, transferring files, managing networks, browsing the web, consuming web services, and more.
lib\net40\nsoftware.IPWorksSSL.dll is designed for use in .NET Framework 4.0 and up. This library maintains a familiar API in line with previous versions of the product.

lib\net6.0\nsoftware.IPWorksSSL.dll is designed for use in .NET 6 and up. The .NET 6 library provides cross-platform support while maintaining the same API as the .NET Framework version of the library.
Support for asynchronous programming patterns (async/await) is exposed in a separate nsoftware.async.IPWorksSSL namespace. See the Async Functionality page for details.

| OAuth | The OAuth component is used to authorize a client and provide an authorization string used in future requests. |
| POP | The POP Component is used to easily retrieve electronic mail from internet post office servers (POP). |
| REST | The REST Component can be used to retrieve XML documents from the World Wide Web. |
| SMTP | The SMTP Component is used to send internet mail using the SMTP protocol (the internet mail standard). |
| SOAP | The SOAP Component is a generic SOAP client supporting SOAP 1.1 that is used to communicate with SOAP servers. |
| SSLClient | The SSLClient Component is a generic Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) stream client based on an asynchronous, event-driven architecture. |
| SSLServer | The SSLServer Component is a generic Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) server component based on an asynchronous, event-driven architecture. It is designed to balance the load between connections for a fast, powerful server. |
| Telnet | The Telnet Component is used to communicate with servers implementing the TELNET protocol. |
| WebDAV | The WebDAV Component implements an easy-to-use interface to the Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) protocol. |
| WebUpload | The WebUpload Component is used to upload files to RFC 1867-compliant web servers. |
| WSClient | The WSClient component is used to establish a WebSocket connection to a server. |
| WSServer | The WSServer component is used to create a WebSocket server. |
