Welcome to PDF SDK, a powerful PDF creation and conversion toolkit.

Included Libraries

The .NET Edition includes libraries (.dll files) which are supported in different environments. The following libraries are present in the lib directory after installation:

  • lib\net40\nsoftware.PDFSDK.dll is designed for use in .NET Framework 4.0 and up. This library maintains a familiar API in line with previous versions of the product.

  • lib\net6.0\nsoftware.PDFSDK.dll is designed for use in .NET 6 and up. The .NET 6 library provides cross-platform support while maintaining the same API as the .NET Framework version of the library.

    Support for asynchronous programming patterns (async/await) is exposed in a separate nsoftware.async.PDFSDK namespace. See the Async Functionality page for details.

Included Components

CertMgr The CertMgr component is used to create, read, and manage certificates.
PDFEdit The PDFEdit component provides text and document editing capabilities for PDFs.
PDFExplorer The PDFExplorer component provides access to the low-level PDF document structure.
PDFForm The PDFForm component offers PDF form management capabilities.
PDFGen The PDFGen component creates PDF documents from scratch.
PDFText The PDFText component provides text and media extraction capabilities for PDF documents.
XML The XML component can be used to both parse and create XML documents.
