DeleteResource Method

Delete a resource.

Syntax

webdav.deleteResource(resourceURI, [callback])

Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for this method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Remarks

The resource or collection specified by ResourceURI is deleted. The DeleteResource method behaves independently of the Depth property. If ResourceURI denotes a non-collection resource, it is first removed from any collection which contains, then is removed from the server. If ResourceURI denotes a collection, the server behaves as if the command were issued with an infinite depth (ie, all internal member URIs denoting single resources or collections are deleted).
