delete Method

Deletes an object on the server.

Syntax

def delete(url: str) -> None: ...

Remarks

This method is used to delete an object at the URL specified by using the HTTP DELETE method. The server response text is received through the on_transfer event, and the HTTP response headers through the on_header event. If local_file is not empty the data (not the headers) is written there as well. The user should normally have assigned correct values to user and password or Authorization.
