get_url Method

Fetches an RSS feed.

Syntax

def get_url(url: str) -> None: ...

Remarks

This method fetches the document using the HTTP GET method. The document contents are delivered in the rss_data property, as well as through the on_transfer event, and the HTTP response headers through the on_header event. If the local_file property has been set, the class will write the transferred data there.

The class will not parse the data returned by the server. For more control over the retrieval of the item link, please use the HTTP class.
