MakeDirectory Method

Create a directory on an FTP server.

Syntax

ANSI (Cross Platform)
int MakeDirectory(const char* lpszNewDir);

Unicode (Windows)
INT MakeDirectory(LPCWSTR lpszNewDir);
- (void)makeDirectory:(NSString*)newDir;
#define MID_FTP_MAKEDIRECTORY 13

IPWORKSEDI_EXTERNAL int IPWORKSEDI_CALL IPWorksEDI_FTP_Do(void *lpObj, int methid, int cparam, void *param[], int cbparam[], int64 *lpllVal);

Remarks

This method is used to create a directory with path specified by NewDir on the FTP server. NewDir is either an absolute path on the server, or a path relative to RemotePath. If there is no FTP session in place, one is automatically created by first calling the Logon method.

Note that when MakeDirectory is called, RemoteFile is changed to NewDir.

Error Handling (C++)

This method returns a result code; 0 indicates success, while a non-zero error code indicates that this method encountered an error during its execution. If an error occurs, the GetLastError() method can be called to retrieve the associated error message. (Note: This method's result code can also be obtained by calling the GetLastErrorCode() method after it returns.)
