StartTransfer Event

Fired when the article text starts transferring.

Syntax

ANSI (Cross Platform)
virtual int FireStartTransfer(NNTPStartTransferEventParams *e);
typedef struct {
int Direction; int reserved; } NNTPStartTransferEventParams; Unicode (Windows) virtual INT FireStartTransfer(NNTPStartTransferEventParams *e);
typedef struct {
INT Direction; INT reserved; } NNTPStartTransferEventParams;
- (void)onStartTransfer:(int)direction;
#define EID_NNTP_STARTTRANSFER 11

virtual INT IPWORKS_CALL FireStartTransfer(INT &iDirection);

Remarks

The purpose of the StartTransfer event is twofold: during article retrieval it fires when the article body starts transferring from the NewsServer to the local host, and during article posting it fires before the article body is sent to the NewsServer.

If ArticleText is not empty, the StartTransfer event is fired when the ArticleText starts transferring from the local host to the NewsServer. If ArticleText is empty, the event is not fired.

If a file is attached to the ArticleText via the AttachedFile property, then StartTransfer fires again when the file starts transferring. Please go to the description of the AttachedFile property for more information.

The Direction parameter shows whether the client (0) or the server (1) is sending the data.
